About the Founder

A journey driven by discipline, risk management, and long-term wealth creation.

Debankur Das, a Mechanical Engineer from Jadavpur University and an MBA from IISWBM.
Worked in IT Consulting for around 20 yrs before quitting in 2019 to become a Full-time Trader and Investor.
“There’s a bit of SAIL in everyone’s Life” – this tagline triggered my journey into stock investing and I bought SAIL, my first stock at around 2002.
Continued investing by restricting myself mostly to the top Nifty 50 stocks.
The Financial crisis in US in 2008 taught me 2 major things:
- You cannot depend on just your salary to sustain a life-time.
- Even in the darkest of bear markets, there are financial institutions (hedge funds) who make money. This opened up the world of Derivatives to me.
Learned Derivatives and started trading, mainly using the Covered Call strategy. This started giving me income beyond my salary by using my stock holding as the underlying asset.
The last few years have transformed me from primarily a mega-cap investor with no proper exit strategy to a mid and small-cap miner with:
- A goal to consistently beat Nifty returns, and
- Capital protection and Risk Management as the guiding philosophy.
Started as a Wealth Consultant in May 2026 after securing the MFD Licence from AMFI with an aim to bring a research-oriented, structured and personalised approach to wealth creation helping clients understand where their money is invested, why it is invested and how each investment fits into their larger financial journey.
